My 87 16v has the worst A/C and I can never get it to come out nice and cold when I need it. I had it changed over to 134 and I always make sure to fill it up and test the pressure. There are no leaks or anything I can find. Any idea to why it is not working?
p.s. a friend of mine just purchased an 87 16v with 190k and it is in nowhere as good of shape as mine, but his A/C is ice cold.
check your No 3 fuse. it's a 16amp fuse. If it keeps blowing, your auxiliary fan is probably bad, if you can't even turn it, its bearing is bad, which is the case on my 190D2.5

Hook up your A/C gauges, and as the high pressure side increases make sure your auxillary fan comes on to cool the condensor.
If that works, then make sure you didn't overcharge the system with R134A.
