Which Shocks/Struts/Springs to get??

I want to get new shocks, struts and springs, I want to lower the car a little, maybe a couple inches in the front and rear, nothing crazy, I don't want a low rider, I just want to get rid of some of that wheel gap. I am looking into getting 16" wheels sometime soon, so that will help. I am not looking to spend alot of cash, I just want a nice ride and a little lower.

Any opinions on these:

KYB Gas-A-Just Shock they are $38/each

KYB Struts first one $96.41

H&R Springs $229.00

Eibach Springs $233 on ebay

It looks good, what size tires are they?

I would get the KYB's and the H&R's, the H&R's are cheaper.

I found them cheaper at www.ajusa.com for $502.85 shipped, betwen tire rack and alloemparts.com it would have been around $520.00.

Wheels are 16" 235/55/16's Michelin Pilots!
The handling and ride is amazing. It's a joy to drive this car. When I purchased it in 1998, I promised myself that whatever mod I do to this 190, I'll do it right & spare no expense. Or don't do it at all.....
Suspension/wheels/exhaust/brakes(approx.$3000).

RE: Which Shocks/Struts/Springs to get??

Yeah I know what you mean, I did the same with my BMW, but the 190e I want to keep a little less expense wise, my list includes a new paint job, wheels, which there is a set on ebay I like for $395 and window tint $240.

I do want to lower the car, I may just do the springs, but I want to take it to the local euro shop I use and see if they can tell me the condition of the shocks/struts on it now and get their advice.

The brakes/rotors are fine on my car, I have a set once they do wear out.

where can you purchase lowering springs for a 190e?

tire rack doesnt' have anything listed.

my springs are currently cut stock (previous owner) and they're a little too low for practical daily driving. car looks great, but doesn't handle so hot.

i'm also looking for what types/brands i should go for.
