Well, I'm not sure what the average price of a 190E is in your neck of the woods, but that seems like a pretty fair deal to me, considering it has only 105,000 miles and it's a Sportline. So I'd say, do a Carfax.com report, and if it turns up clean, then buy it! [:)]

I've never seen a Sportline in Toronto ever.

The one advertised in E-bay looks pretty good. I think it's priced ok. If it has a couple cosmetic problems, don't worry. But motor/tranny should be in running proper or you'll be inheriting someone's problems.

Thanks everyone for the reply posts. Turns out I looked up his/her username on 190rev and from what I figured out it is the same owner/seller.....and the car was an accident that nearly totaled it. No way I’d pay 6grand or near it for a car with a history like that. Thank you internet info!

I'll probably check the car out if I don't end up buying this 190D

eBay Motors: Mercedes-Benz : 190-Series (item 170248496407 end time Aug-12-08 18:02:43 PDT)

The accident worries me but if it's repaired correctly and there was no frame damage, shouldn't it be OK? I live in Boston so I wouldn't worry about shipping.

I also found that it's been involved in a rear-end crunch that popped open and flooded the trunk too (from 190rev)

Umm, I would look elsewhere. That sportline thread is from 2005.
