1988 190E 2.3
Saw a tv show that mentioned this car & thought it would be cool to own. I'm a small car dealer & go to auctions, tommorrow there is an '88, but it has 251K on it. Is this even worth buying? With this mileage I can't even imagine it being sold for over $500, but would I be buying a rather large paperweight?

I just bought a 1988 190e 2.3L with 162K for $1,100. Looks like I might have to put another 2-3 hundred in it. But so far I still consider this a good deal. I have enjoyed driving it. Solid. I can't believe that this car is 20 years old. Great mpg. Good Luck

It's a good car if it was maintained. There is nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes

i second that...besides you could probably make about 2k on it parting it out depending on condition if things go bad ie: blow a headgasket etc
