I have just replaced the 02 sensor on my 380se but the light refuses to go out. Does anyone know of a reset switch or how to turn it off. (without removing the bulb of course). assistance in this matter would be greatfully recieved.[?]
If you check the Mercedes Service Manual, I believe you'll see that the recommend procedure is to remove the bulb. The sensor light is activated by a trip cog in the odometer, not any diagnostic circuit in the Bosch CIS system. There is no "reset" circuit. A year or so after 1985, the cars were fitted with a relay that had the reset button.
