I own a 190e 2.3 16v. Recently I am having engine starting problem. It takes five to six cranks to start the engine and its around 21 degree celsius so i dont think its related to cold start problem.
Also the radio is not working, how can i remove the unit to check if any wires are loose cos the power antenna doesnt work. Will the radio still work if the antenna is not up.
probably ur cold start valve. as for the radio, when i disconnected my radio, the antenna didnt work. does the glove compartment light, cigarette lighte work? if not then the fuse is blown. other that that, check the radios fuse, and the power to the radio. its a yellow and red wire and a black one for the ground
I have an 1986 190e 2.3 16v and I'm having the same starting problem. It takes about 12 cranks for the engine to kick over. Will keep an eye open for a fix.
