I am a convert from an E30 BMW that got totalled. With my BMW i had a great parts CD that had exploded views with manufactures part numbers and such. Can anyone recommend the same thing for a 190E 2.3 from 1988? I could really use it since i am putting the engine back together and there are a few things i am questioning.
If you're in North America, you can get the Performance Products catalog for free. Then there's the Mercedes Service and Repair manuals, either in soft bound or CD. The chassis and engine volume is the most popular, but it won't cover much of the climate control, electrical system or transmission, which are in separate volumes.
Benzw00d,
I found a complete CD service manual for the W201 on e-bay for $10.99 delivered to my door. The seller's id was(bestdealsonauction) on ebay, it's sweet, no part #'s though. Also, I ordered for $6 bucks delivered to my door a body shop version (Hard Copy)of all the OEM part #'s you'll ever need for the W201 involved in a collision (haven't received it yet). I ordered that from seller id (automotive-literature) on e-bay as well. I don't think it will help much with internal motor part #'s, but it's really good info to have for $16.99.

Awesome.. I got the Performance Parts catalog already but it isnt helping with some of the brackets i am trying to place. I will look into that Ebay seller and see what he has. The shop manual on CD i think would be best cause i have the hard copy of all the service manuals for my 82 300CD Turbo and they are great. Thanks for the info.
Navagating the CD can be a pain, and be warned that the illustrations, particularly photographs, aren't the best when scanned into PDF format. The CD is "convenient" for occassional use, but you're going to find yourself printing a lot of pages anyway.
