I'm pretty interested in getting one of these cars. However, i've had a hard time getting into the diesels i've driven because they tend to be pretty sluggish (even the VW TDis). Maybe i'm missing something.
So that said, what do you enjoy about your 190D? What makes it an enjoyable ride and/or an enjoyable car to own?
Somewhat unrelated perhaps, but can one of these cars cruise pretty comfortably at 75+ MPH?
i love mine cos it just looks great, the interiour is a really neat and integratred design.. everything flows into everything else, i love the wood and the top of the dash, its so smooth to drive... starts up and -5 or +15 the same... even if left in a blizzard for a few days, it gets me 43mpg, cruises at 85mph with easy on the motorway, accelerates pretty fast if u use it manually off lights.. the engine (being 5 cylinder on mine) sounds sooo good, deep roar when over 3,500rpm, also when idling its one of the quietist diesels i have heard. mine has 202,000 miles on it.
BUY ONE!

rib,
depends what you use as a yard stick. I think it is a nice car but also just a car. If the 5cyl revs a bit over 3000 rpm it is fairly noisy but quietens down at higher rpm. However, then you are out of the most economical range and too much over the legal speed limit in N.America. Cheers
