I think it looks great, but my friends dont really care, sometimes i think its a waist because of the lack of appreciation on it. I love they way the car drives and handles, never any problems too.
Not gonna sell this car, well, maybe for a 16v or evo II, heh
Nice looking Ride! I am new to the W201 forum and am purchasing a W201 next week and am very excited, they are great cars. I had an 1989 190 2.6 several years ago and wish I had never sold it. Don't sell yours YOU WILL REGRET IT! So the last couple of weeks I have been on the hunt for a 1993 190, found one and picking it up this weekend...Can't wait!
I have been trying to put them on for a month now, i cannot find a person that has the spring compresser for the 190. From what I can tell there rare, heh. I have found the tool that goes on the outside of the springs that compresses them (cant use them, the rear springs do not allow the room for the tool to fit), also found the tool that you insert in the center of the spring (cant us it because the rear springs do not alot the tool to be put in the spring, the tool is too wide). From what I hear its a special tool that only MB uses, I need to find a dealer for MB tools. Does anyone know an online store that sells them?
The Klann compressor sells for just over $600, while there are clones that sell for about $300. Renting them from Perforance Products is $80. Some owners have had success with the internal "claw" type compressors that come apart and cost about $40, the trick is setting it into the coil properly so that you can extract it later. You might want to consider having an independent Mercedes shop do it for you and getting all four wheels aligned at the same time.
