Towing capabilities for a 190D

Hi. I have a 1985 190d. Has anyone towed anything with a 2.2 L 190D?
What weight is this car capable of towing?
I would be towing a very lightweight trailer with a total weight of less than 1000 pounds.
My car is a 5 speed.
Can it handle it?

The tow capacity is listed on the data plate located on the driver's door sill.

I had a 1984 2.2 190D 5 speed in 1990 and I pulled a 4' by 8' utility trailer with no problems. As far as pulling capacity, I'm sure that I went beyond the limitations when I hauled three loads of old roofing shingles to the dump. I had no problems hauling anything with the 190D.
