Here's my baby []. 1992 190D 2.5 turbodiesel, manual. Currently runing 10%svo/90%diesel but plan on increasing the ratio dramatically [][], once I heat the injector lines and spin on fuel filter.
Next mods are:
Adding gouges to monitor egt, iat and turbo-boost.
Adding an intercooler.
Maxing out the turbo and IP.
Upgrading brakes. I see that alot of you have brakes from 300E. Are they better? Will they fit 15" rims?
Very cool car Deni!
I've always wanted a 2.5 Turbodiesel manual and max out the engine too... maybe someday.
As for the 300E brakes, I had them on my 1.8, and they worked like a charm. Unfadeable, 210kph stops are laughed at by them. I put them over my 15" wheels. It fits tight, but is a cool undertatement. Had people looking at the car, looking a bit closer at the wheels, and then suddenly they say: wtf, are those the original brakes? hehe that's cool.
good luck with upgrading your car! (Although I'd start with removing that awfull steering wheel cover... )

greetz and welcome,

Thanks for the brake tip! Now I only have to find a 300E, as here in Albania petrol cars are very rare, espcially old ones with big engines. Are they "bolt on" or do I need to make some modifications? I have 15" rims myself. Wanted to go for 16" but had already bought 4 new 15" tires when I decided to guy new rims .
I don't like the steering wheel cover either, but when my hands are wet or dirty on hot days it feels like I'm peeling off the steering wheel (don't know how to explain it properly, sorry). I also like the way it feels, as it's more comfortable and offers a tighter on hands grip.
As for the mods, my priorit is changing to vegetable oil, and then performance mods. The reason is that I can't find the EGT, IAT and Turbo Boost gauges here in Albania , and until I find them I'm not going to mess up with the engine. I'm also waiting for the vo mods to pay back and first mod will be brakes, followed by gauges, ic, turbo+ip tuning and so on ) .
Till now I've done an electrical heater for the spin-on fuel filter. By the end of next week I should have ready the ip line heaters and my vo mods will be finished (probably going to install an electric fuel pump at the tank so that it'll help the ip with the thicker fuel ).
Here's my new acquaintance. She's a 1989 2.6 with 280K on the odometer.
