Transmission problem.. slips

i have a 1985 190e with an auto trans..and the trans slips from 2nd to 3rd anyone know if there is some module or something.. cause if i let off the gas it shifts fine..i hope its a module

Gary,
First, check the transmission fluid level. Then consider doing a trans. fluid/filter change. Also, check to make sure the vacuum line going to the vacuum modulator is not leaking. The vacuum modulator is on the drivers side of the transmission, close to the shifting arm.
The last time I changed my Vacuum Modulator it was due to fluid leaking out into the vacuum line and being burned through the engine. I discovered this when the car did not shift properly and the fluid was low. When I pulled the vacuum line off of the intake, there was trans. fluid coming out of the hose and the V/M would not hold a vacuum.
