Timing 190E 2000cc

[b]Please anyone tell me exactly where the timing marks can be seen from on my 190E 2000cc the Haynes workshop manual is not much help, also all else being correct is the car anymore dangerous with a.b.s light on than than a car without the system fitted in the first place [?]

RE: Timing 190E 2000cc

Is your car running a bit rough at the moment? I ask cos the ABS light is a symptom of a failed OVP relay
(its behind the battery besides the ECU) and if you are looking for timing markings that suggests you are looking to reset the timing to make the car run smoother. Or I am completely wrong? [:)]

RE: Timing 190E 2000cc

Thanks Mike, no the car isnt running rough however it allways cranked over a lot on its first start of the day since purchase, on recent investigation out of warranty I found the rotor arm and dist cap burnt up and on replacement found the car to be pinking slightly but starting on the button I suspect that the timing had been fiddled with by the ham fisted dealer, who kindly swopped the windscreen washer warning fitting with the A.B.S fitting and removed the A.B.S bulb which on replacement now glows a nice cosy red colour on a permanent basis. thanks Geoff[?]
