my aux fans quit running - Benzworld.org

I had them shortcircuited to run at all time to keep the temp. down. now they quit running. I chked the fuse, no prob. what else could be the prob? How much will they cost me to replace them?

seems to me that the fans simply are gone. I checked the No. 3 fuse, intact, AC flows cool air, No. 10 I haven't.
Just in case if all of the above are funtional, what else might be the problem?

possibly the fan switch, if you can short the fans and they work then thats the next step

its a thermo switch and normally in the radiator but not 100% sure on your car we dont have that many in the uk to play with[:)]

have you checked to see if there is current running to the aux fan? if there is then maybe you need a new fan motor.

the fan motor must be ok if it runs when shorted to permanent on
