RE: Replacing the blower motor, how?

Hello,
Yes the mesh guard comes off first, there's a few screws holding it in place, and then it will get pulled downward away from the windshield and out towards the enginebay. Just be careful not to flex it too much because it might crack. Slow and easy does it.

Yes you can get the cd from any MB dealership (if they don't stock they them should be able to order them), they're kind of pricey ($130 if I remember correctly) but do contain quite a bit of info. There's also copied versions on ebay for cheap if you wanted to go that route.

Also something I just remembered, you'll have to put your hood up to the 90 degree position in order to give you adequate room to work with. Basically you just undo the clip holding the hood shock, then move the hoodshock off the pin it attaches to and move the hood towards your windshield until it clicks into place.

And yes the mesh guard will come out before the wiper assembly is removed.
