If yes, as a follow up question, what does it typically cost to refinish a wheel?
The wheel has a hairline crack, but holds air. Also the clear coat is peeling.
These are for sale and I was thinking about buying the set and fixing the cracked wheel. I was not planning on riding on it.
Would it be better to just buy the set and replace the cracked one as opposed to trying to get it repaired?
Need to see if they will fit first. Not sure what model they were on.
You'd have to know the offset on those wheels before you know if they fit. That is usually marked on the inside of the wheel if it's an OEM.
I'm in the process of putting different wheels on mine off a W124 and it's been a bit of a problem for reasons I wont get into, but the new width is 6" and with the tires which were on the wheels when I bought them, they come close to hitting the fenders. I'd think you'd have to have pretty low tires to make things work, plus your speedometer will likely be off.
Not my business but I wouldn't sell a cracked wheel, repaired or not, that just isn't right.

Thanks, I will have to find out the offset.
As for selling the cracked rim, they were up front and were just including it with the other three good wheels. And I was never going to buy and sell anything, just figured that if they didn't fit my car, they might fit someones. And they seller wanted $50.
For $50, three good wheels isn't bad, if they fit.
$50 isn't bad, and you can probably get $10 from a scrap yard for the cracked rim.
I defiantly wouldn't drive on it, and I wouldn't trust it if it were repaired.
Here is a calculator for figuring out the effects of different tire sizes. Tire size calculator

Good deal! I thought I got a steal @ $100 for four wheels and tires with pretty good rubber. I bought mine only to have a driver while I have my original wheels powder coated, which my souce says requires at least a week turnaround.
