2.6 190E Fuel Pressure Regulator Question

The regulator has a fitting at one end and what appears to be a vac line on the other. Where does thing go? I found this dangling free when replacing the ignition wires. The wire job was a flop! The car was running great with the ancient wires and now the #6 isn't firing under 1500 rpm. Swapped back in the old wire without success so I screwed something up.

It connects to a tube that goes from the valve cover to the ICV & to the air cleaner. take a close look at that and you should see the fitting for it, careful it is plastic and probably brittle.

Thanks. I will open it up again in the morning and take a closer look. I did connect the loose end to the breather hose from the vc to the air box (there was a vacant hole there) and got no improvement. Thanks for the response.
