Power seat conversion

I'm looking to convert my manual seats to electric. I know it's NOT a very easy thing to do, but i'm looking to put 16v seats in. Has anyone attempted to convert?

that may actually be possible just by swapping out the actual seat tracks and some small modifications to the rails

For manual 16v seats they have to come out of a euro edition not a us edition.

I would simply NOT do this. Change your 190e with one that have the electrical seats instead...

Tell me, how many time are you "playing" with your seat adjustments?? I had electrical seats in my E320 and my previous 190e 1985 and frankly, my 320E was worth to have this because it also adjust the steering wheel and the side mirors with the memories and, we were 3 drivers on it.

I don't think it is a good idea unless you are several persons to drive your 190e.

I would better put my money in something else!

How long did it take for you to do so? I'm thinking about just going to the junkyard and possibly finding a decent one. Did you ever take any pictures doing it?

it took me 1 hr to do. keep in mind that my car was gutted at the time. the thing that takes the most time is fishing the wires into the doors and all..

Aren't there power seats with the controls on the seat? so you would only need to wire the seat for power? Seems like that would be the most viable option

Oh, that's not to long. I think it'd take a few hours to do everything then. Wouldn't i need a new door panel then since the manual operated seats dont have the seat adjustment on the panel's. Where did you hook it up to, your fuse box/relays?
