how to measure rpm's with a multimeter?
hi to everyone

i was wondering how to measure engines rpm with an automotive multimeter. i have just adjusted the mixture using the duty cycle and it was perfect but i was wondering how to measure rpm as my multimeter can measure tach for 3 to 8 cylinder engines. I do not have though the clamp tool just the classic multimeter wires. is there a way ?
