Great to hear of the success! Wish I could have been there too... instead there's two less morons at the Delaware beach tonight. The got the "hotel" they were looking for, breakfast included.
Haha, yes. And then the guy who rolled his Cobalt over a guardrail (idk how that happened). Then the scuba diver.

I spent the morning replacing broken shutters(!?) on a rental property so the government would consider the property safe for occupation. Whatever.
Then, since I just got the 107 back from the body shop, I spent the early afternoon getting the adapters properly adjusted on the new(ish) windblocker which now works great, thanks.
Then, it was off to the sister's house for the crab feast and home after 9 PM.
Sorry to have missed it Drew. You can stop by the store today, since I'm working, with the 190 (congrats on getting it fixed, the internet rejoices as bandwidth drops to half its previous usage) and do burnouts until I cry like a little girl.

Dig,
Today I am working on the 560SEL to replace a tie rod. If you feel like swinging by here on your way home give me a call.
Update:
The car stalled twice at idle just two minutes after starting it this morning. I didn't even reach operating temp regardless if the fan clutch sensor is connected or not, if it's the wrong one or the right one, stalling at this point has nothing to do with engine temp.
I am going to tear the fuel system up today... forget the 560SEL, this job ain't finished!
Tonight when it is very dark outside, start the car and examine the plug wire that goes to the number 1 cylinder. If there is even the slightest blue light, remove the metal boot that covers the rubber plug wire.
This means the next thing we are checking is whether the electrical energy of the ignition system is dissipating by arcing to ground at the plug wire connector. This is an alternate explanation to a cold cylinder. The gunk on the plug could be accumulating because of an undervolt to the plug.
We cleaned up the plug ports into the head so any electrical discharge should be quite visible.
Lastly, can you explain the conditions under which the motor stalled today.
I can be back any time because I am in Cecil County for the duration.
It's possible that the gunk was from a Seafoam application that I did a couple of months ago. I hear that spark plugs must be replaced after such application. The mystery is why just plug #1? Maybe I didn't Sefoam it enough...
