Transmission or torque converter noise?

When the transmission shifts form first to second, I get after a slight delay, for a half to one second or so groaning / resonance like noise.
Its more pronounced and noticeable when the engine/tranny are cold.
Could it be the torque converter?
Has anyone here experienced this?
Recently changed the filter, transmission, and torque converter fluid to fully synthetic dextron VI.

Check your fluid level. I had the same groaning noise in Reverse after a fluid and filter change and it was because of low fluid level.
