Sportline vs. shortened 400E springs?

My buddy Sev, who is very knowledgeable re the 190E, told me the 2.6 Sportline springs are linear and identical to the regular springs, only slightly shortened?

I have access to a wrecked 400E, and my buddy advised me to get these stiffer springs, and have them cut to the sportline springs length, should I?
Are the W201 and W124 Shock/Strut Mounts interchangeable?

I would appreciate your input.
Cheers

Not sure which is the better solution, but PM me if you use the 400E springs and want to offload the Sportline springs. Been looking for a set.

the paint marks are what tell all. they map up to height and rate specs that someone somewhere can dig up in a TIS or other place. I've not found yet where to get this information.

I have a spare M117 Euro spec 10:1 drive train, from engine to differential.
The drive (propeller) shaft also has different color markings.

probably those marks indicate the length of the shaft or something like that whereas otherwise would be difficult to observe at a glance or without measurement

Re drive shaft colors, someone told me they are balancing marks.
