Talking 190D 2.5 Specifications

I have a 1986 190D2.5 and no manual, does anyone know the specs on this vehicle specifically how much horse power?
Thank you,

108: Is this the one in Richmond for $10K, Japanese import?

Sorry, I cannot give you any numbers as my car has been off the road since November, but should be on the road sometime soon..as soon as I sell my 190E. Besides, mine is an 87 turbo version.

Are you around 108mile house? Nice to hear from more diesel enthusiasts.

Yes that's the car I'm talking about. I talked to a person from the company and he assures me it's a 9 out of 10. He already checked it out while I was on the phone to him and he was with the vehicle. I asked him to check this and that and it was already determined that the a/c is not working and when I asked him to check the trunk , there was no spare tire in it.
He said that this will be all rectified prior to my viewing it even though it apparently went through a safety inspection and passed with flying colors..
I'm not exactly rushing down there .
There is another 1984 300SD import just up the street from him from another importer with only 113.000 km's. and going for $ 8000 and also apparently mint.

I have been to several importers in the past month in the Vancouver area and all I can say is that I'm not impressed with their low mileage, so called mint veh's.either gas or diesel that they get..
I have noted dings, scuffs, scratches, faded and dirty seats etc. I have not seen one clean engine when the hood is opened and the hood mat on most is peeling and almost falling off. My usual thought is that these 50-100,00 km veh's look like they have 2-300.000 miles of use abuse on them. I have yet found one that I want to run and get my cheque book out.

Just my thoughts.

And yes I am from that part of the Cariboo area.

Great, you can hold out until you find the right car. I have cousins in Australia and NZ who drive these imports and its the same story..you have to find the right car at the right importer.
One cousin imports from Japan to Aus and I have seen some of the cars....wide range of conditions. Buyer beware, but it is possible to get the right car.

Also checkout Terra2 Imports - Let us help you import a vehicle from Japan to Canada
They work out of the Vernon/Salmon Arm area (I don't remember exactly where) and seem to be the experts in importing cars from Japan. They have a very informative website. Most of the importers I have come across here in the Vancouver area are, shall we say, 'Kingsway' type.

Good luck, and I hope you find a nice car soon.

I agree with the buyer beware idea. I 'm not into the idea of ordering a car via an importer as it usually takes weeks if not months to get it over here. I like to see the goods in person and then decide. I do not necessairily need another car right now, I have my trusty 300D in the driveway so I am in no rush.
I know what you mean in regards to the " Kingsway " crowd of wheeler dealers.

Hi,
I'm a 86 190D owner also. However, not as great condition as yours. I've already had the tranny replaced and recently been working to rebuild my front end. You ever have issues with your ignition system? cheers.
