Just ordered an ex demo A150 on a 58 plate but it doesn't come with standard ipod/mp3 player integration. I called the dealer to ask if this could be fitted and they said it would be £600ish because it would take 3+ hours to install + parts as the whole dashboard would need to taken apart in order to get to the head unit!
Does anyone know if this is true? If so, are there any stereo fitters in the south east of the UK that someone could recommend which don't charge £125 an hour like the merc dealers!
However, that's for the older pre-09 audio equipment. If you have the newer colour screen Audio-20 (which it may/may not be on a 58), then by the sounds of things the install/parts will be slightly different.
Let us know the outcome. I have the Media Interface fitted so the iPod connects in the glovebox to the Audio 20 - the control is v. good subject to a few niggly points (length of track name display in the MFD being the main one).
Hmm I'm 99% sure the current (UK) A-Class has a standard fit 3.5mm input in the glovebox. If yours has this its not really worth going to the extra trouble of getting the iPod kit fitted, as both fundamently do the same thing.
