How can i check injectors on 2001 A170 cdi?
i have a 2001 a170 cdi with bad smoke issue.it seems to be running fine but a lot of smoke is coming from the exhaust.it does take a couple seconds to speed up like turbo is not kicking in but it does go over 3000 rpm and drives above 70 mph. i was told that injectors might be the issue but how can i test make sure if it is the issue if it is do i have to change all of the injectors? would a scan tool tell me the info on injectors? if so what type of scan tool...thanks in advance

Be careful with injectors. I have just had been removing mine on a A170 Cdi (UK) model. Firstly I could not get them out as they were seriously carboned up due to a leak (to which you get a 'chuffing' sound). I had to have a garage remove them and because they were so tight they had to remove the top cap. What the garage didn't say is that once the top cap has been removed the injectors need to be reset. This cost me £600 (app$700). I got a bit of a fright, but had no alternative. Once the injectors have been sorted be very careful to watch for fuel leaks and ensure the connectors are nice and tight. either of these will cause you problems. That is it will not start. Good luck.
