Problems with A160 Model 2000

Could anyone recomend a good Merc Mechanic in Muscat, Oman? I recently bought a second-hand A class model 2000 Classic, which the clock said had only done 53k km. Now 55k. But recently, something went wrong (mechanically) in the drive side electric window as pressing the button does not do anything to the window but can hear the motor turn.
Secondly, today, the power steering failed and some lights came in inside like the battery sign and the radiator water light. Found out that the belt that runs the power steering mechanisam, alternator and water pump had come off. Could also see some fluid at the base of the engine which is most likely the power steering fluid.
What things should I bear in mind when talking to the mechanic. The Merc dealers are not very reputable here besides being very expensive.
