I've got a 2001 A140 Avantgarde with 51K on the clock. It has started running rough after start up & lacks power. This continues until the engine has reached running temperature when it seems ok. It's difficult to drive it like this. Also the engine diagnosis indicator lamp is on, but this came on many months before the problem. Can anyone help?
Thanks.
I'd suggest that your problem might possibly be related to this..........?
Buy or borrow a code reader or get the codes read- this will tell you what problems exist much better than vague guesswork from us. A code reader is a good investment and will pay for itself many times over.
My money is on the Mafs sensor, DONT go to MB they will charge you £1400 for a new ECU/mafs remove it your self follow the direction on my site and sent it to ECU testing they will test prior to repair and you will get 15% off the repair if you mention my site, repair charge is £250.00 less the 15% or £35.00 less 15% if they test and find it's ok, They will turn it round in three four days and you can refit it yourself, haveing fitted it and connected the battery turn on the ignition On and allow to stand for a full minute before trying to start this will allow the ecu to connect to all components on the car and the chances of the ignition light remaining on after re-connection are far less.
Please post feed back and tell us how you get on .

You could also use BBA Reman whose price is now cheaper with the same discount, but you must mention my site when placing the order or you will be charged the full price.
