Hi, we recently brought a A140 (2001 great little car), noticed the windscreen washer didn't work, so I checked it out, no power, back to fuse opps it was missing.
Great new fuse and now it works-- but when I put the indicators on the windscreen wipers also come on, has anyone had this problem before and what is causing it?
What you will find ids that there is a fault inthe combination switch, Ican be replaced cost about £85-£100 some times available on e-bay s/H but the amount of work to replce makes sense to replace with new.
The other common fault is you can't dip main beam.all caused by the dicki switch.
at least you now know why the previous owner took it out.
But remember the washers must work if fitted for the car to pass the MOT
