AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION DOES NOT SHIFT

Hello.
My transmission does not shift to upper gears. Ex: 60Km/h = 3rd gear. I can ride to the moon in third. Riding along with other A190 auto, my car is always one gear down. She has 52000Km, new trans oil and filter, StarDiagnosed OK. Please, HELP!

No answer but yeah I have same problem with my A160. Goes anywhere in 3rd but wont shift any higher. Also F on dash. One garage reckon the clutch drum's split and that it will cost me at least £1500 to sort out. Help!! Is there any other alternative??

Oh and my error code is P1889 if anyone knows what it means. I really dont want to sheel out £1500 if I can help it

Hi Ricardo and welcome to Benzworld.

Is your transmissoin service up-to-date including fluid replacement, gasket filter, etc?
Have you checked that the ATF is at correct level?

Error code P1889 - 2-5-R downshift PWM valve pressure too low transmission slipping.

Did you manage to fix the car? If so, what did you have to do to fix it and at what cost?
