Newbies to the Benzworld! Apologies if this topic is covered elsewhere.
A friend of mine has got a A140 Classic (2000). She is having problem when accelerating. Basically the car is lack of pull at low rev <2,500rpm. It seems that the rev will stick at around 2,000rpm for 1-2 seconds before it can seriously pulls off.
When idle, neutral gear, flooring the accelerator, again the engine is "stuck" for 1-2 seconds before it revs up.
Can someone give me some hints of what is the problem likely to be?
Could be the accelerator pedal sensor.
You will appreciate their is not physical connection cable etc so you are reliant on the sensors.
However it could be connected with fuel flow, has the fuel filter been replaced at the prescribed periods also the air filter all have a part to play and need to be clean condition.
