A160 H1 WARNING

After running the engine for 10 minutes, a H1 warning is displayed in the instrument cluster, anyone have any ideas on what that could mean? This occurs on each journey

Hi Fortec,

I have this problem from time to time too, esp after a service. It just means that the oil level is high and you need to drain some oil from the sump.

Spot On, despite some owners think the car was just being sociable when they first turn the key it does inform you that the oil is too high.
Draining a small amount out is important as the HI oil level can damage the cat. See the note on the oil filler it could be clearer.

If MB are responsible then take the car back and get them to remove the surplus oil it might make them take more care in the future
