Help - Central Locking Problem

Hello, new buyer of A Class here...thanks for reading.

I've got a bit of a problem with my locking system.

My electronic key is knackered and i'm waiting until pay day to get a new one...but..my manual lock ( drivers door ) fails to lock all the other doors.

The internal switch locks all the doors no problem.
When locked all the doors open when the door catch is opened from inside, so i assume theres nothing wrong with the system overall....question is how the hell do i get the key to perform the lockdown from outside?

am i correct in assuming the Pneumatic Actuator located in the door is ok as the interior door handle opens all the centrally locked doors after driving?
