Have only owned a 1999 A160 Classic for a few weeks now and really enjoy driving the little car.
It currently has 15" steel wheels with 195/50/15 tyres, looking a putting these second hand wheels on, ie 16" alloys with 195/50/16 tyres.
maintaining this 50 series in the 16" places the overall diameter outside the NSW RTA 15mm allowable limit. When the speedo says 100km/h actualy speed will be 104km/h.
Was 195/50/16 a standard tyre size for those fitted with 16" alloys? ( i assume the A190 came standard with 16")
Is there a gearbox/speedo cable reduction gear/cog that differs between the A160 (ie 15" wheels and the A190 16" wheels? or does it all happen electronically?, or is the case that the 16" wheels should be fitted with 205/45/16, which would bring the diameter within the allowable limits
did A190's come with a 16' spare steel wheel.
