my remote key stopped working. I changed the battery. The light on the key works. It still did not open the doors. The next day it started working again. A few days later it stopped again. This has been going on for awile. Any ideas?
My key started with the radio transmitter going out, and after a while, even the infra red wouldn't work either. The other day, when the key had been left out and was cool to the touch, the IR worked and it unlocked my doors. That gave me an idea, that there could be a heat related circuitboard problem with the key, and I threw it in the freezer for an hour.
After cooling in the freezer for an hour, the key works perfectly, even the radio transmitter!
No, I wouldn't suggest carrying a portable fridge with you everywhere you go. It's probably just time to get a new key!
