Do ALL A160s generally have a weak pickup? Or is it just my vehicle...? I mean for a 1600cc vehicle... the pickup seems to be a little slow, I really have to hit the gas a bit to be 'ahead of the pack' if you know what I mean.
I've driven several other vehicles with a power < 1600cc, but even a slight push on the accelerator gets the vehicle moving suddenly - not so on the A class.

Dont seem to have much of a problem with mine. Its not lightning like a Hot hatch or anything but its no slouch either! Remember your aircon is on all the time too unless you turn it off manually.
mines manual GB and quite quick when i want to be, these days I don't care if you want to be in front, different when I had to twos and blues.
It might be worth checking air filter, plugs, and ensure your fuel filter has been changed if the prescibed mileage if they have been reached. all adds up to a slower pickup but Ok when once rolling. mind you a do use fuel additives once per year and an oil additive Greased Lightning - The World Leader in Automotive Products it's not cheap but it ensures everything is well oiled up and clean.
