Why change a "crap" radio if you want a tape player ? Tape is completely low-fi.
Personally, I can't see the interest in going back to a MB radio ?
I've got two different radios: a new Sony supporting MP3 and an older Alpine. The Alpine audio quality is well known, but the Sony is really great too. I paid the Sony around 120 Euros.
You're right, I wouldn't bother with tape. But I meant that style of tape/cd unit.
The thing I like about the original (and hate about the new ones) is the simplicity of the buttons/controls. Simple volume, station selection etc. My JVC has about 25 buttons for everything - I am going to have an accident just turning it on.....
:-)
