I have an A140 (52) Elegance model and it has a problem with the airbag SRS warning light.
Basically there is a sensor in the passenger seat which is not working correctly, in that when there is no one seating in the seat the SRS light warning light is illuminated on the dashboard.
When the passenger seat is occupied then the light goes out.
I have taken it to my local Mercedes dealer and they have confirmed that there is a switch is the seat which detects if there is a Mercedes baby seat present and disables the airbag accordingly. According to Mercades this switch is not working correctly and it will cost over £500.00 to replace.
I think this is unacceptable and are therefore looking for help and guidance on how to undertake the work myself.
Has anyone attempted this or have any ideas where to start.
sorry mate sent you the wrong message the seat cover is held on by plastic clips which fold onto the seat from below remove them and the cushion will lift up
are you in the uk as they may be different elsewhere
