I replaced the OEM cd player from our A140 with a cd/mp3 player. I salvaged the original A140 cd-layer and popped it in my good old w123 300d. The thing is that it plays original cds fairly well but when it comes to home burned cds it takes a lot of time to read or won’t read them at all. Does this have to do with the blank cds, the burning method or is the player faulty? Would cleaning the lens help?
