Gearbox trouble

I changed the gear box plastic shaft on my mothers A140. The old part would sometimes pop out of place leaving the car with no gears. My Mercedes dealer said it was a common problem. The new part has been re-engineered and is made out of a plastic compound with rubber inserts. I think the problem is solved now.

thanks for the info this has just happened to me,ive just turned the clip around till i can get a new part tomorrow [:)]
