It all started yesterday, the car was parked in the afternoon the day before, when I started it up again it shuts down after approx 10 sec in idle.
The car has felt a bit strange in idle mode for a while, it seems to have missfired.
The car works fine otherwise (did a 350km drive yesterday, these things happens when you are a long way from home ofcourse).
Took the car to a local garage and hooked it up on their computer.
It was the Air Mass Meter that caused the trouble.
How on earth can it be combined with the ECU?
The guys at Mercedes did the design after a few beers at the local pub, or?
Only the part itself will cost me 9000,- SEK (about 700GBP or 1250USD).
I am very disapointed with the car, the repairs we have had during the last 12 months has costed a fortune and now this?
Sorry to say it but I think we will have to let the BabyBenz go before it ruins us completly :-(
