A140 plug change

This looks a bit of a nightmare. Anyone changed any spark plugs?
Help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Clive

RE: A140 plug change

It is fairly straight foreward, in that basically you have to unplug and remove the black ignition system covering the plugs, if you go http://svc.cc/board/html/ you will find in the A-class forum instructions on how to change the plugs and a lot of other info. Also look up the "baby benz portal".

RE: A140 plug change

Having received a ridiculous quote from the local MB dealer for my wife's A190, I looked on the web and found the svc site, printed off the instructions (including pictures), bought some plugs and changed them myself.

Because of the location of the plugs, you have to do a fair bit by feel and it is helpful to have a range of extensions for your socket set, but it was pretty straightforward and exactly as per the svc instructions.
