Where is the ECU?

Hi Guys, i am a new A-class owner (A170 diesel)

I wondered where i can find where the ECU is located, as i would like to fit navigation and need the speed pulse line.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

I was thinking of the Alpine single DIN INA-N033R unit.

Also, i have heard that the performance chips for the diesel are good - does anyone have any experience of these?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Where is the ECU?

Hi,

I was looking for the pollen filter today and found the ECU. It is under the bonnet behind a curved plastic cover on the other side to the steering wheel behind the washer bottle. Mine is marked with an air conditioning sticker but when I removed the cover (three torx screws) I found a load of wiring and the ECU.

BR,
Stu.
