I recently bought an A170 CDi and am very happy with it, but there is one small niggle that i don't know is normal or could be a fault. shortly after a gear change and when accelerating, it does the same as a manual (stick shift) car when you ride the clutch....it slips for about two seconds and then settles down again. Is this normal?
MBNZ
doesn't seem so.
You better have it checked by dealer, such
slip could have very negative effect
on transmission components.
besides that, any problems with 170CDI ?
I'm going to buy 170 CDI long version in next
few weeks. How do you feel the engine? Is it
strong enough? Have you had a chance to compare
it with ie. A160 gasoline model?
It is noisy after warming up?

ans4.polbox.pl
Apart from the slipping clutch I have no complaints at all. The car is very nippy and accelerates much quicker than i would have expected it to. I've even spun the wheels a few times! It is a little noisy when cold, but once it has warmed up it is almost as quiet as a petrol engined vehicle.
Would i buy another one? Most definitely!
no-dns-yet.demon.co.uk
