SDGT3, search for the Daimler Tech Bulletin that relates to installation of the green plug for an aftermarket brake controller.

I like your extended mirrors. How do you like them? Where did you get them?

They work great. I drove with them installed without the trailer, radio off and up to 70MPH there was no wind noise. They screw clamp down to the mirror housing.

Hey All,

Unfortunately I screwed up when I decided to pickup a 2012 beautiful jet black on black ML320 Bluetec to replace my 2009 ML320 BT that was at the end of it's lease.

The new 2012 did not have the tow package! So the dealer cut me a sweet deal on the hitch receiver, the wiring harness and the installation time and I did it.

So the dealer had my interior apart and the whol rear bumper, the DEF tank, pump, etc. out to install the receiver and the harness which runs up to a ECU under the right/front passenger seat.

I also picked up the Tekonsha P3 electronic brake controller (Tekonsha) and I had it installed in the cubby bin below the center stack and just above and behind the two front cup holders. I will post a picture shortly. Fit really well.

I was going to install below the dash above and forward of the accelerator pedal but I didn't want to cause problems with the knee bolster airbag should I ever need it...

I used the setup for the first time today with absolutely no problems. I recommend the Tekonsha P3.
