I need a experience guy with knowledge SDS system menu.
I have access to Mercedes SDS system. How can I access thru the SDS menu (block module ) DPF information, like fill amount?
I had VW and VCDS will have this option.
I tried diesel emission menu and there is nothing, just ad blue is last 14,000 miles.
I will try to help. I have a Star/Xentry system I built myself and it has been an absolute lifesaver. I don't own any diesel vehicles however, so I have never scanned one.
First, what kind of system is it and what year/version. When you say "Block Module" I assume you mean the ECM? (Engine Control Module)? You need to go to "actual values". That is where you see real-time data.
(BTW, if any Putnam/Westchester/Duchess/Etc New York area peeps need a scan, I'd be willing to run one on your vehicle some weekend for a small donation of bottle of Dewars. It only takes a few minutes and gives you invaluable insight into your vehicles many brains.)
it's Star/Xentry. So when I put my vin, than click on right side icon like medical - stethoscope. Than it all scan all car for the modules.
So what is module is responsible to see the actual values.
Sure I would share Dewars with you if you were lived in North Virginia.
I have done this through Xentry for the Adblue tank level. It only shows empty, not full and full. Very annoying to monitor unless you have the laptop/monitor in the rear hatch while you are filling. It does not show the exact gallon level in the tank.
Since the Adblue tank is only 7 gallons on the '09 Bluetec, I only fill with 2.5 gallon jugs when the low level warning shows on the dash/MFA. Dump in 2 jugs for 5 gallons total and there is no worry of overfilling. Using Xentry to fill is way too much work for such a simple process.
Edit: To find it in Xentry, I believe it is in the engine section under SCR.
