Hi all
Pls I changed my car battery 2008 ml350 . D next day I noticed the reverse camera isn't working when car is on reverse , if I try to set the time I get an error message that u should switch on ignition . I have hooked up a star scanner as well as other brands but it doesn't connect.it says cannot connect with the ecu . Every other modules can be scanned but the information and communication module cannot be communicated with. Pls help
Sounds like something woke up in the wrong order, or didn't wake up after the batter change.
I'd disconnect the battery and leave it for several hours, or overnight, then re-connect. Low battery voltage can make all kind of weird things happen. Check the owners manual about reseting the steering angle sensor, power windows and sunroof after a batter change.
are you referring to the media interface control unit? its located at the back of the glove box. the audio gateway should be at the trunk area. near the spare wheel.
pls what could prevent the audio gateway , command system to be scanned .all other modules can be communicated with by star scanner and others but agwand comand will not communicate . what could be the problem ???
thanks alot ... will look in that direction but i just cant figure out why a SDS cannot communicate with my comand , camera, etc anything that has to do media ,anything that has to do with communcation. the comand switches off every 30 minutes , it requires manual off when key is removed from ignition... really at a loss
Who knows how the battery was disconnected and reconnected, so you must start by checking the fuse (#37) in the load compartment fuse/relay box, that powers up the Back-up Camera Module.
Also check to see that your left tail lamp back-up light is working.
