Looking at purchasing a 2008 ml350 with 105k on the clock.

Car is 1 owner and dealer maintained.

Test driving it I noticed a whine that occurs around 15-40 mph. Less noticeable at higher speed.

Owner stated he believes its a front driveshaft bearing? He hasn't confirmed this however.

What are the likely culprits?

Car has new tires, new brakes and rotors, new power steering pump. Tracks straight and doesn't pull. The noise definitely does not feel like a wheel bearing.

Thanks!
