We picked up a 2008 ML 350 (pre owned) today, traded in a 2008 C300. The C-300 has integrated bluetooth, we just assumed that the 2008 ML 350 would too, but it doesn't. It's pre-wired for bluetooth.
So the question is...after i get the MHI Bluetooth Interface device that fits in the armrest and assuming i can get a phone to connect...I know the sound will come through the audio system but is there a microphone in the vehicle to pick up what I say.
I realize that it would be pretty stupid to have a system that send the call through the speakers and there not be a way to talk to the other person, but i cant find any info on this, and I can't find a microphone anywhere on the
ML 350's dash.
Believe there is a mic in the vehicle. Should be either in the overhead consol or in the rear view mirror. Not certain when this went from the consol to the mirror. Would be the same mic thats used for the teleaid system. For your information on the new ML's the Bluetooth is built in. No longer need an adapter.
I have the puck and it works ok. I was not able to download my contacts as I think there is a conflict with my model phone. Yes. there is a built in mic, it is the tele aid mic.
I would recommend that you purchase Viseoo MB-2 puck instead as they say there are no conflicts with any phone and that it is much more robust. These guys have it for $299 plus shipping.
