I am going to to a brake flush on a new to me 06 ML350. I already have a vacum tool for doing brake fluid changes. I see the pressure bleeder is referenced in the forum-is there a benz specific reason I can't use the vacum method?

Pressure bleed only.

Before beginning make absolutely sure you remove all the old fluid and refil the reservoir with new unopened DOT4+. The last thing you want to do us push all the old fluid thru the precision valves of the ABS unit.

Suction feed will cause issues inside the ABS unit in respect to shuttle valves, you may not get a correct purge of old fluid in this case.

Secondly the system is designed to have flud pushed thru it. Use 29 psi of head pressure on a pressure bleeder and you will get a good purge.
