I have an 09 ML550 on order, fully loaded, but then the dealer called, no lighting package until october builds, november delivery. The car right now is coming first week of august. The dealer is willing to install bixenons gratis. He said the only thing I will be missing is corner illuminating fog lamps. Is this true? Are there any other drawbacks to going with aftermarket vs factory? All help/advice is appreciated.
For what you are paying I would get what YOU want. Stay with factory equipped rather than dealer add on. I think there is some value added to that. You should also get something accessory wise thrown in for your patience and loyalty.
With the aftermarket Xenons you will also not get the washers and the important self leveling . Do not accept an aftermarket or retrofit installation. Wait for the factory installs.
After l had my vehicle stolen, l ended up picking up a Pewter, American 06 ML350 with only 16,000 miles on it....it came with the appearance launch package...with the artico leather seats, power hatch, harmon kardon system, nicely equipped, but l wish l would have look a little harder, so l could have found something more loaded.."don't settle".....

Hi C
Did you buy your ML from the States? If you did, how much hassle did you go thru to import the vehicle ? My friend is interested in importing one from the US but I told him it's kinda difficult especially for MBz.
Thanks
